- Unlocking Your True Potential: The Power of Quantum Manifesting
Have you ever felt stuck, like your dreams are just out of reach no matter how hard you try? What if the key to transforming your life lies not in external circumstances, but in a deeper understanding of who you truly are, and what you genuinely want from the most authentic recesses of your soul? Quantum manifesting offers a fresh perspective on creating the life you desire by aligning your inner clarity, with the energy of the universe, to see that you truly are the creator of your life. This blog explores how getting clear on your true self and your authentic desires can unlock your potential and help you manifest meaningful change - and there is a special bonus offer at the end of it to help you go even deeper into your unravelling. Finding clarity happens when you are willing to courageously unlock what you are holding in your heart What Is Quantum Manifesting? Quantum manifesting is a concept that blends ideas from quantum physics, energy healing and the law of attraction. It suggests that your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs influence the energy you emit, which in turn affects the reality you experience in your outer world. Unlike traditional manifesting, which often focuses on positive thinking alone, quantum manifesting emphasizes the importance of deep self-awareness, energetic alignment, and gaining clarity on the limiting self beliefs that keep you anchored in the past. In simple terms, quantum manifesting means: Recognizing that your consciousness interacts with the universe at a quantum level. Understanding that your intentions can shape your reality positively when they come from a place of clarity, and heart centred authenticity. Using focused energy, awareness, and belief to attract what truly resonates with your inner self. This approach encourages you to go beyond surface-level desires and explore the core of who you are - not who society told you to be . Isn't it time to see who you really are? Why Clarity About Yourself Matters Many people try to manifest goals without fully understanding their true motivations. This lack of clarity can lead to frustration and disappointment because the energy behind their intentions is scattered, misaligned , or resonating at a frequency of the version of themselves that they are trying to elevate from; not the one in which they truly long to become. This causes 'leaks' in their energy fields, boundaries get crossed, and they settle for less than they truly deserve or secretly desire. Getting clear on who you really are involves: Identifying your core values and beliefs. Recognizing your strengths and passions. Seeing what parts of your life truly deserve your attention most. Understanding your fears and limiting beliefs. Doing the deep work to uncover your shadows, and see you greatest light. Defining what success and happiness mean to you personally. When you have this clarity, your intentions become more focused and powerful. You stop chasing goals that don’t fit your authentic self and start attracting opportunities that support your growth, and you will start to see synchronicities that guide your path forward. This isn't science, this is what I can share from my personal experience as I went through my first spiritual awakening, wishing I had someone that could guide me through it, and give me the answers to understanding who I was going to become. Testimonial: Keiko's Journey to Clarity Keiko wanted to manifest more money, but felt stuck despite trying various techniques and didn't really understand what manifestation meant beyond what she had read. She hadn't embodied it. After spending time working together, reflecting on her true interests, values, fears and loves, she realized she was pursuing a path based on others’ expectations; it wasn't about a lack of money in her life , it was about a lack of passion for what she was doing, and the confidence she had to believe in her own worth. Once she shifted worked through these blocks, she started to focus on WHY she really wanted to make money - to buy a car that gave her family more FEEDOM, and within 2 months, her manifestations around money began to flow naturally; landing her more hours, more recognition at work, and a happier family environment that finally had a second car to make life easier. "I recently took private manifestation classes with Monique, and it was an incredible experience. Monique is warm, genuine, and incredibly patient. Her extensive training and expertise shone through in every session, which were personally tailored to my needs. I felt truly supported and was able to manifest my goal within two months. I highly recommend her!" - Keiko, Melbourne How to Get Clear on What You Really Want Clarity doesn’t come from wishful thinking. It requires honest, vulnerable, self-exploration and practical steps: Journaling: Write about your dreams, fears, and what makes you feel alive. Meditation: Spend quiet time tuning into your inner voice without distractions. Vision Boards: Create visual representations of what resonates deeply with you. Ask Powerful Questions: What would I do if I had no limitations? What brings me joy? What legacy do I want to leave? Seek Feedback: Talk with trusted friends or mentors who know you well. These practices help you uncover desires that are truly yours, not influenced by external pressures, and because I've been where you are, I've developed a short course to help you truly understand the process, to go deep, hold yourself accountable and even utilise a energetically charged manifesting meditation to help anchor your goal. Aligning Your Energy with Your True Self Once you know who you are and what you want, the next step is to align your energy accordingly. This means: Letting go of doubts and fears that block your flow. Cultivating positive emotions like gratitude, excitement, and confidence. Taking inspired actions that reflect your intentions. Maintaining consistency in your thoughts and behaviors. Quantum manifesting works best when your mind, emotions, and actions are in harmony. This alignment creates a magnetic effect that draws your goals closer. Practical Tips for Quantum Manifesting Success To make quantum manifesting a part of your daily life, consider these tips: Set Clear Intentions: Write down your goals with specific details and feelings attached. - Complete Guide | Kundalini Activation
Kundalini Activation: A Journey to Deep Personal Transformation “Kundalini is said to be a powerful, primal energy that represents the unmanifested potential within us; it is referring to the great field of the unknown that lies beyond the limits of our minds,” according to Yoga International. Often depicted as a serpent wrapped three and a half times (akin to the cho rei symbol of Reiki) sleeping within the base chakra, this powerful energy can be awakened by practices of yoga such as mantra, mudra, asana, and pranayama, especially when practised with daily devotion in the form of Kriyas. Once this life force is truly awakened, the kundalini shakti rises through the chakras (energy channels or vortexes) in the energetic body, navigating through the granthis (spiritual blocks) and leads to spiritual awakening manifested as freedom of choice, greater self awareness and ability to manifest, inner knowing, bliss, awakening of siddhi's (spiritual gifts), and a huge transformation of life which for many, can cause great discomfort as they are forced into action by aligning with their authentic self. Kundalini activation has become one of the spiritual world's fastest-growing modalities. It unlocks ancient ancestral wisdom and is supported by modern-day neuroscience. Whether you are curious about energy work, traversing a spiritual awakening, healing trauma, or seeking a deeper understanding of how Kundalini Activation actually functions, this guide will walk you through what you really need to know: How does one become a Kundalini Activation facilitator? What is a Kundalini Activation? How does Kundalini Activation work? How can Kundalini Activation help you? How it affects the five yogic bodies/koshas What to expect in a session Session layout Common experiences What should I know before I go? 10. Kundalini activations may not be suitable if you have these conditions... 11. Disclaimer 12. Do you have any tips to get the most out of my journey? 13. Integration 14. Aftercare Before I continue sharing what I know, I want to add that it has been the catalyst for significant transformation in my own PTSD and trauma healing journey. I would never promote a modality that I haven't had significant firsthand experience with. My Kundalini journey started around 2013 with a full awakening. I was then guided through a long dark night of the soul before landing firmly on the healer's path of truth-seeking ascendance. What is a Kundalini Activation? Kundalini Activation stems from ancient yogic wisdom. It helps the devotee connect with their internal life force energy and release blockages held deeply within. This journey leads to a Kundalini Awakening, rising into a peaceful state of love, appreciation, bliss, and self-mastery. The facilitator may utilize breathwork or other somatic experiences to help participants move from their mental processing (divine masculine) or 'monkey mind' into a deeper state of intuitive self-awareness (divine feminine). This allows them to surrender to their subconscious or 'higher self,' enabling the intelligent wisdom of the body to process changes necessary for ascension. When activated, the energy travels up from the base of the spine through the seven main chakras and nadis (akin to meridians). It stimulates the blockages within, potentially leading to deep healing, release, a more profound sense of self, or even unity consciousness and greater spiritual awareness. In a group activation, you can expect an introduction that includes what Kundalini is, how it works, and what you might experience. This is followed by some somatic or breathwork, tailored music, and then you will lie down on a yoga mat with your eyes closed to experience the movement of the energy alight within. This is a deeply personal experience, so it's important to keep your eyes closed, not compare, and return to your own experience if distracted by another's noise. Some participants may sing, laugh, hum, cry, or yell, depending on their journey. At the end of the experience, you will go through an integration period on the mat and ground back into the room before having some time to share your experience if you feel called to. Each session will vary for the participant based on what needs to surface to be seen, acknowledged, and released. This aids the aspirant in rising on their highest timeline for the greatest good of their soul within this lifetime. How does one become a Kundalini Activation facilitator? Practitioners often spend many years working with energy medicine, particularly Kundalini energy. They embody its wisdom and clear their own channel through deep shadow work to hold more 'light' or higher vibrational energy. They are usually devoted to their spiritual path, have undergone spiritual or Kundalini awakening themselves, and possess a strong knowledge base around holding space for others. There are many different lineages of Kundalini Activation teachers. It's essential to understand where your facilitator has learned, what they were taught, and that you feel comfortable and safe within their containers. My personal certification is as a 'Trauma-informed somatic healing facilitator and Kundalini activation facilitator.' I have also studied as an 800-hour yoga teacher in India (hatha, vinyasa, kundalini, ashtanga, yoga therapy) and have years of experience with various energy healing and somatic healing modalities such as Reiki, Sekhem, Ascension Reiki, Ashati, and Alsemia, as well as being a certified mind-body practitioner and wellness coach. How does Kundalini Activation work? The practitioner self-activates the energy within, becoming a conduit of the healing energy of the serpent, shakti, or divine feminine essence. They embody it and allow it to rise through them as a channel by augmenting their luminous field. Through this specialized process, they create a vortex or biofield of energy that amplifies your vibration and begins to activate your Kundalini Shakti (divine feminine life force energy). Your energy rises to meet this vibration. Energy-in-motion (emotions), blockages, pain, and so forth that resonate at a lower, denser vibrational energy rise from within to be experienced, witnessed, released, or embodied in a way that raises your vibration. This creates a psychosomatic release, meaning you may begin finishing 'processes' that were previously incomplete. This can include trauma, grief, anger, rage, fear, or other expressions. Many people experience blissful journeys, so it depends on what is ready to rise for you or the intention you set for yourself. Afterwards, you may feel quite tired or, conversely, energized and revived. How can Kundalini Activation help you? Kundalini Activation is a process that works with subconscious information stored within the body, mind, and emotions. Some of this may have been held for your lifetime or carried through ancestral lineages. As well-known trauma-informed psychiatrist Bessel Van Der Kolk states, "The body keeps score." Kundalini Activation is one way we can help get to the root cause of the body-mind's repression of these stories we hold within to release them. It has been shown to aid: Big life changes (pregnancy, moving, aging, career) Increase intuition and psychic connection Release repressed anger, internal chaos, disharmony, and resentment Traumatic experiences, dissociation, and PTSD Grief, loss, and sadness Rewire and balance your nervous system Increase courage, confidence, and personal empowerment Feeling stuck Pain and stress relief Enhance libido, passion, and sensuality Relationship breakdowns Increase mental clarity Support peri-menopause and menopause Enhance spiritual gifts and spiritual connectedness Releasing shame and guilt Emotional balancing Anxiety and the buildup of pressure on the nervous system Spiritual evolution and transcendence Personal transformation What are the five 'bodies' or koshas in yogic wisdom that Kundalini Activation targets? Anamaya Kosha (Food/Physical Sheath): This is the outermost and most physical layer, consisting of the body's physical structure, like muscles, bones, and organs. Kundalini activation can help bring energy to blockages within the physical body, aiding in the release of illness or sending healing energy to old wounds. Pranamaya Kosha (Energy/Breath Sheath): This layer consists of life force or vital energy, organized by the breath (prana) and interconnected with the physical body. Kundalini activation bridges the pranamaya kosha and physical body, bringing a sense of purpose, harmony, and interconnectedness to the physical world and 5D consciousness. Manomaya Kosha (Mind Sheath): This layer is associated with emotions, feelings, and the lower mind, including the subconscious. Kundalini activation can help draw deep, heavy, or repressed emotions to the surface, allowing for a feeling of inner peace, stillness, or lightness to wash over you. Vijnanamaya Kosha (Wisdom/Intellect Sheath): This layer represents higher consciousness, the intuitive and intellectual mind, and the ability to discriminate and reason. Kundalini activation can help bring the aspirant out of their 'head' and back into the body, fostering mindful awareness and personal presence. Anandamaya Kosha (Bliss Sheath): This innermost and most subtle layer is the sheath of pure bliss, joy, and spiritual essence closest to the true self. Kundalini activations can bring you into states of pure bliss, allowing you to feel whole, loved, and complete within yourself. This can be incredibly empowering, as it fosters inner peace and resilience. What to expect: Each session (group or 1:1) will be different based on the practitioner, their lineage, knowledge, experience, and background. In the sessions I offer, I usually describe what Kundalini is, how the activation works, what you may experience on and off the mat, and how those experiences impact your waking life over time. Kundalini Activations are designed for those prepared to meet their depths and do the true transformational work to create change. It is a path of devotion, where you will constantly experience cycles of death and rebirth to become who you really are. After the introductions, you will usually lie down on a yoga mat or the floor (allowing for movements, kriyas, physical releases), and the transmission of energy will begin to create a biofield that amplifies the energy within you. This activates your life force, shakti, or kundalini. Your life force energy rises to meet it, allowing anything below that frequency to rise, be witnessed, released, or embodied in a more empowering way. It often drops you into the alpha and delta states of conscious awareness, sometimes feeling as if you are watching a glimpse of a movie or a 'story' you may have been holding in fast-forward. Your mind may want to make sense of it, but the information is often filtered or inconsistent because you don't need to make sense of it for it to be released. Everyone experiences Kundalini Activations differently, largely based on where they are in their spiritual, healing, and personal evolution. Kundalini Activation is designed as a regular event to help you shift through the layers of the body (koshas) energetically, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Even if your experience is subtle in the beginning, it's important to stay the course (at least eight sessions) and create time to notice the little life progressions and releases along the way. It is not a performative experience; you are not doing it; it is happening. When it does, you will understand what this truly means. Example session layout: Welcome explanation and intention Somatic experience or breathwork Kundalini Activation energy healing (usually about 60-90 minutes) Integration and sharing circle Common experiences during a session: Please do not expect to be doing somersaults, performing channeled kriyas (a series of movements, sometimes spontaneous), speaking in tongues, yelling, or bawling your eyes out. These depictions can often shape your subconscious experience. While these things are possible, and you may find others within the class experiencing them, everyone will find their own experience is entirely unique. It's important to let go of the ego—the mind that tells you it knows what will or should happen—and allow yourself to soften into the feeling centers that help you mindfully switch off, being present, and in a state of absolute surrender to the wisdom of your life force energy—Kundalini. Some people, especially those new to spiritual practices, may not feel much during the activation. This is because it works on the subtle layers in preparation for a greater unfolding. These individuals often find it hard to fully surrender, rest, or get out of their heads. For example, 'A type' personalities may struggle to let go of control, which may change over time. It is crucial to note that those who have experienced trauma may also find it hard to let go, as they often have subconscious protective mechanisms trying to keep them 'safe.' In such cases, 1:1 sessions may be more beneficial, allowing for the development of a strong professional relationship with a supportive therapist, fostering trust. Other experiences can include: Peaceful experiences of bliss, love, and light. Pressure, heaviness, or the resurfacing of old injuries/pain. Visual experiences such as seeing colors, lights, patterns, sacred geometry, spirit guides, alternative realities, past lives, insights, and deep knowings. Astral projection or transcendental experiences. Dream states. Stillness inside and out. Physical sensations such as heat, cold, vibrations, itchiness, tingling, and subtle body movements. Spontaneous body movements such as muscle jerks, kriyas, mudras, yoga poses, stretches, or smaller movements that naturally want to occur. Trembling, micro tremors, or quivering. Heat or cold in specific areas of the body. Coughing, sneezing, sighing. Yelling, screaming, crying, or even laughing. Light language or speaking in tongues. Journeying with spirit guides or loved ones who have passed over and receiving messages from other realms. Visiting past memories and finding new perspectives. A spectrum of emotions from happiness, joy, excitement to anticipation, anger, resentment, sadness, grief, pain, and shame. Emotional releases such as crying, laughing, orgasmic bliss, and feelings of sensuality, anger, or rage (including yelling or screaming). Seeing your future self and life unfolding. The above sensations and experiences are signs of releasing built-up trauma, pain, and tension within the body, clearing the way for true healing and renewal. Once the energy is activated in a session, it can continue to work for approximately 24 hours, rewiring the nervous system, repatterning energetic pathways, and creating cellular change. What should I know before I go? Kundalini activations are a deep, transformational process of inner change, resulting in external changes that permeate your reality. They can be the seed for significant life changes as you align with a higher frequency and all that is ready and waiting for you within that. If you feel uncertain, have health and wellness concerns, or want more guidance, please reach out to discuss this further before booking a session. It is vital that you feel safe and ready for this experience and can hold full accountability for yourself within the healing space and beyond. This journey requires great respect, readiness, and self-reflection. It is an incredibly valuable tool for your spiritual and self-evolution. Please review the following conditions carefully. Attending a Kundalini Activation means that you have read, acknowledged, and understand the risks, and take full accountability for your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health and well-being. Please read the full disclaimer for all of my services via this link. Do you have any tips to get the most out of my journey? It helps to 'brain dump' before a session. Write a list of the 'to-dos' you might need to action or find a way to still your mind so you can focus on the mind-body-soul connection and the interaction they create on the mat. The more you can surrender to the process and let go of control (e.g., ask the mind to release control, stop overthinking and analyzing), the more you will experience, explore, and release. Quick tips: Do not arrive on a full stomach (we suggest you don't eat 2-4 hours prior) Come hydrated, but ensure your bladder isn't feeling too full Steer clear of coffee or stimulants before (and after) the event Clear your schedule for an hour or two after to start integrating Do not take recreational drugs or alcohol Be as open as you can be, and allow yourself to surrender to the process Integration Integration is what happens after the experience, off the mat. It can take time for your system to make sense of all that was released or embodied in a session. It is imperative to give yourself time to amplify what is needed. Sometimes you may be tested (e.g., an old flame comes into your life, a challenge occurs where your boundaries/worth/confidence are tested, or you may feel distance from your work/people in your life). Sometimes you may soften (e.g., you allow yourself to feel more of your emotions or tell someone how you really feel). Sometimes you may feel something new simmering within (e.g., a new idea, vocation, desire), or you may just feel at peace with something that has been bothering you (e.g., you heal a cycle/belief/trigger/story). Whatever your journey is, it is personal to you, so it's best to be open-minded and let go of the inner critic to see what needs to land—and change. Over days and months, integration will continue as long as you continue with the work. The commitment. The devotion. Other things you may notice after your experience: Heightened awareness and psychic senses may become more open or active. Interdimensional awareness and connectedness. Sleeplessness after a session as you release things at a subconscious level. Feeling heat in your body, especially in your hands and feet. Utilize cold therapy. Healing of old trauma and wounds. Fatigue as your body returns to a sense of homeostasis where it can heal. Enhanced sounds, smells, colors, and perception. More openness to others and self. Enhanced sensuality. Feeling more self-empowered and confident. Rewiring of your nervous system, often feeling more calm and in control. Repatterning of energetic pathways. Best integration tips: Hydrate! Drink a hydrolyte or add lemon & Himalayan pink salt to your water. Journal and make space to reflect to anchor what you learned, embodied, and released. Sharing circles or talk therapy are great if you feel called to process what has risen with words and supportive understanding. Make some downtime to be in your own energy and stillness. Let your loved ones know how you are feeling so they can support (or give you solitude). Listen to calming music. Make time to breathe; deep nose inhales into the belly and chest, and exhales through the mouth can help move energy through you, continuing the release. Notice the little 'shifts'—what do you feel drawn to? Repulsed by? How do you feel? What has changed within? What do you know now that you didn't before? Yoga, walking, swimming, and movement can really help integrate new energy and raise your vibration. Connect with your body and its wisdom. Do not drink alcohol or take recreational drugs at least 24 hours after the Kundalini Activation. Eat grounding, nourishing foods (and drink MORE water). Look for a good quality Magnesium Glycinate to aid sleep and muscle stiffness if needed. Be kind to yourself, and seek external support if and when needed. - EFT for Self love and empowerment
The following is an adapted EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) self-love & self-worth script from Maryjane Henning, which is a great tool for working through moments of low self-esteem, worthiness, feelings of lack and not feeling good enough. It happens to all of us, but we also all have the power to utilise somatic (mind-body connection) tools to shift, process, and integrate energy and emotions - good and bad. This process is perfect for those of you going through uncomfortable shifts, changing jobs, changing lives and shifting into a more authentic version of you that harnesses doubt through fear of the unknown. EFT and tapping are tools I often use in client coaching sessions as needed, because it empowers YOU to become your own healer and land into your authentic self, and at the core, that is my souls mission in this incarnation. Find Freedom Within | Are you ready to begin your pathway of true change? EFT can assist with: Deep relaxation Coming back into the body instead of letting the mind run wild with thoughts Empowers YOU to become in control of your inner script Settles your nervous system Calms your mind enough to rewrite the stories you've created or held since childhood Develops greater self-awareness While taping you are focusing on the language, mindful of the feeling, and the physical process of tapping lowers the stress response - so it is a great strategy to use when you are trying to release the pain of anxiety and feelings of low self-esteem! Are you ready for EFT for self love and empowerment? Self Love Script | EFT for Self love and empowerment The following script is meant to enhance feelings of self-worth and build self-esteem. It is a great way to start your morning, or end your evening. I challenge you to do it daily for 21 days to honour your experience of where you are, and where you want to be - a key to manifesting the life you want to create . It will also support you in giving yourself permission to just be you, fully, authentically, YOU. Below is an image of the tapping points, starting with the Karate Chop Point (KC), on the side of the hand (left hand for right handed people and vice versa for lefty's). When you start with the script, start here (KC point) and tap for about 7-10 times on each sentence within the script that has a KC next to it. Take a couple of deep breaths, check in and see if you can bring to mind some of the feeling around not being good enough. Feel into it, reminding yourself that darkness is purely the ansence of light. Remember we need to focus on the negative to clear it. Rate how high the feeling of distress is on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest level of distress. The rest of the points are below: You can read more about tapping by clicking the image above. First Round - Feeling Into Doubt: Start with the Karate Chop Point now, and then just move through the points as you read each line or when it feels right to move to the next point; KC: Even though I sometimes worry about what others think of me I am open to accepting myself completely. KC: Even though I often feel like I am not good enough I am open to becoming more loving towards myself. KC: Even though I often over analyze everything I have done and said in social situations I am open to letting go of all that self judgment and criticism and learn to love and accept myself completely. I worry about what others think of me. I feel like others are always judging me. I don’t think I am good enough why should others? I am afraid I won’t know what to say when I meet someone new. It’s better to be alone than deal with the anxiety of a new situation. I worry about what others think of me. I worry that I will say something stupid. Or worse that I won’t know what to say at all. I spend so much time in my head anticipating the worst case scenario. I feel like others are judging me. I won’t know what to say when I meet someone new. What if they think I’m boring. I often think the worst about myself. So why should I expect something different from others. All this worry and fear. All of this self-criticism and judgment. Check in : You can just keep going through the statements or stop and check in here, if you are feeling really emotional just keep tapping through the statements.) Take a deep breath and see how it feels. If it feels lighter and you think you are ready to give yourself permission to let some of this worry go, move onto the next section. If you are still at a 5 or above, (feeling like it is at least 50% true or higher that you are not good enough), then go back and tap some more on the negative. You want to be a 4 or less to move on. Second Round – Give Yourself Permission: Starting at the Eyebrow point and then moving downward through the points, ending at the top of the head/crown with each line: I am open to the possibility of relaxing around some of these thoughts and letting them go. Would it be okay for me to just let go of some of the worry and fear? Even if I said something stupid, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. I’m open to the possibility that I can feel more relaxed around people. I am open to the possibility that I can connect with others. I am open to the possibility that I am good enough. It’s okay for me to be human and make mistakes, I release the need to always look good. I give myself permission to let go of some of this worry about what others think. I am open to the possibility that it isn’t as bad as I think it is. I give myself permission to believe that I am likable. I am open to the possibility that others won’t judge me as badly as I fear. I give myself permission to believe I am enough. I am open to the possibility that I can be myself and that’s enough. I give myself permission to like myself. I give myself permission to believe I am lovable. I give myself permission to not worry about what others think. I am open to the possibility that I am good enough. I give myself permission to be kinder to myself. I am open to the possibility that I can stop seeing the worst in me and focus on the good that is. I am open to embracing and accepting all of me. I give myself permission to embrace, accept, and love all of me. Check in : Take a deep breath and check in, How does that feel. Are you in a place of openness and willingness to accept yourself as you are and believe that others could as well. If so move onto the final set of tapping sentences, if not go through the above phrases at least one more time. Round Three – Choosing Something Better Starting at the eyebrow point again and moving through the points; I Choose to allow myself to see me through a new lens. I choose to know that I am good enough. I choose to know that I am okay even if someone doesn’t like me. I choose to believe that I am lovable. I choose to love myself fully and unconditionally. I choose to release the negative self talk and criticism, I replace it with kind and patient self talk. I choose to see myself through a lens of self compassion. I choose to love myself fully. I choose to believe that I am good enough. I choose to release the worry about what others think. I choose to believe that others will see me as good enough. I choose to believe that I add value to others just by being myself. I choose to believe in myself. I choose to believe I am perfect just the way I am. I choose to let go of self judgment and focus on what is good about myself. I choose to be my own cheerleader and share my gifts with others. I choose to let go of past conditioning and believe in myself. I choose to focus on loving myself and letting go of what others think. I choose to focus on what is right about the situation and let go of the fear. I choose to embrace all of me just as I am. Check In : Now check in, how does that feel. Does it feel like it is possible? Hopefully there is a feeling that it is possible. If not, that’s okay. You planted a seed. I would encourage you to go through these 3 rounds for at least the next 10 days (the next 30 would be even better). Have some patience with yourself, you didn’t develop these feelings overnight and some of them are pretty strong, so stick with it and give it a chance. I suggest now to write down or acknowledge how you're feeling on a scale of 1-10, and utilise this script for the next 2q days to watch it change your inner world - thus, creating change in the manifested reality of your outer world! - Steps to Achieve Spiritual Growth: Your Path to Lasting Transformation
Have you ever felt a deep yearning inside, a call to something greater than the everyday hustle? That whisper of your soul nudging you toward a richer, more meaningful existence? Spiritual growth steps are not just abstract ideas - they are practical, transformative actions you can take to reclaim your power and manifest a life filled with purpose. Today, I want to walk with you through some of these steps, sharing insights that have helped me and countless others move beyond surface-level spiritual practices into true self-mastery. Are you ready to walk with me? Embracing the Journey: Your Spiritual Growth Steps Spiritual growth is a journey, not a destination. It unfolds in layers, each step revealing new depths of understanding and connection. Here are some essential steps to guide you: Cultivate Mindful Awareness Begin by tuning into the present moment. Notice your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. This simple practice anchors you in the now and opens the door to deeper self-awareness. Try this: Set aside five minutes daily to sit quietly, focusing on your breath. When your mind wanders, gently bring it back. This builds the foundation for all spiritual growth. Create Sacred Space Your environment influences your inner state. Designate a quiet corner or a special spot where you can retreat for reflection, meditation, or prayer. This space becomes a sanctuary for your soul to breathe and expand. Engage in Reflective Journaling Writing is a powerful tool for uncovering hidden truths and tracking your progress. Each day, jot down your thoughts, emotions, and any spiritual insights. Over time, patterns emerge, illuminating your path forward. Practice Compassion and Forgiveness Spiritual growth flourishes when you release resentment and open your heart. Forgive yourself and others - not because you condone past hurts, but because you choose freedom for yourself, over bondage. Compassion softens the edges of pain and invites healing. Seek Connection with Like-Minded Souls Growth thrives in community. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support your journey. Share your experiences, listen deeply, and celebrate each other’s breakthroughs. Creating a sacred space for spiritual growth What is the meaning of spiritual development? You might wonder, what exactly does spiritual development mean? At its core, it is the process of evolving your inner self—your consciousness, values, and sense of connection to something greater than yourself. It’s about peeling back layers of conditioning and ego to reveal your authentic essence. Spiritual development is not confined to any one religion or belief system. Instead, it is a universal quest for meaning, purpose, and alignment with your highest truth. It involves cultivating qualities like love, patience, humility, and wisdom. When you engage in this process, you begin to see life through a lens of grace and possibility, even amidst challenges. This journey often requires courage—facing your shadows, embracing vulnerability, and stepping into the unknown. But the rewards are profound: inner peace, clarity, and a deep sense of belonging to the universe. Nourishing Your Soul: Daily Practices for Growth Spiritual growth steps become tangible when you weave them into your daily life. Here are some practical habits to nourish your soul: Morning Intention Setting Start your day by setting a clear intention. What energy do you want to embody? What qualities will guide your actions? This simple ritual aligns your mind and heart with your spiritual goals. Gratitude Rituals Gratitude shifts your focus from lack to abundance. Each evening, list three things you are grateful for. This practice rewires your brain to notice blessings, big and small. Nature Connection Spend time outdoors, soaking in the beauty and rhythm of the natural world. Nature is a powerful teacher, reminding you of cycles, resilience, and interconnectedness. Mindful Movement Whether it’s yoga, walking, or gentle stretching, moving your body with awareness helps release stagnant energy and grounds you in the present. Reading and Learning Dive into books, podcasts, or talks that inspire your spiritual curiosity. Knowledge fuels growth, but remember to balance learning with lived experience. Reflective journaling as a tool for spiritual growth Overcoming Obstacles on Your Path Spiritual growth is not always smooth sailing. You will encounter resistance—both internal and external. Here’s how to navigate these hurdles: Recognize Resistance as Growth Signals When you feel stuck, anxious, or doubtful, see these feelings as invitations to dig deeper. Resistance often masks fear or old wounds waiting to be healed. Practice Patience and Self-Kindness Transformation takes time. Be gentle with yourself. Celebrate small victories and allow space for setbacks without judgment. Seek Support When Needed Sometimes, professional guidance or spiritual mentorship can provide clarity and encouragement. Don’t hesitate to reach out. Stay Committed to Your Practice Consistency is key. Even on days when motivation wanes, show up for yourself. Your dedication builds momentum and trust in the process. Living Your Spiritual Truth Every Day Ultimately, spiritual growth steps lead you to live authentically and purposefully. It’s about embodying your truth in every moment—through your choices, relationships, and actions. Ask yourself daily: Am I honoring my inner wisdom? Am I acting from love rather than fear? How can I serve others while nurturing myself? When you answer these questions honestly, you align with your highest self. This alignment radiates outward, transforming not only your life but also the world around you. Remember, this is your sacred journey. Embrace it with open arms and a courageous heart. The path to spiritual growth is yours to walk—and every step you take is a step toward freedom, joy, and profound transformation. If you want to explore more about spiritual development , take your time and dive deep. Your soul knows the way. Until my next blog, Love always , Monique
- Embracing Meditation for Personal Growth
Understanding The Psychic Senses and Their Role in Meditation Psychic senses refer to subtle, intuitive abilities that carry us far beyond the physical world and the five senses. They tap into the subtle realms of the unmanifest, including layers of the past and future potential. Developing these psychic senses through meditation can enhance your awareness of subtle energies, potentiality, and improve your connection to your inner guidance and spirit team. The Main Psychic Senses The main psychic senses can be summarized as follows: Clairvoyance : This is inner vision. It helps you see the past and present, often in a new light. You may visualize patterns, spiritual symbols, colors, lights, and future potential outcomes. Some find it easier to see through tarot or oracle cards, automatic writing, or drawing. Others may visualize forms in their mind's eye, with eyes open or closed. Clairvoyance is associated with the third eye chakra, located between the eyes, and is linked to the pineal and pituitary glands. Clairaudience : This is inner sound. It may manifest as music, ringing in the ears, or messages of wisdom in your own voice or that of a loved one who has passed. Clairaudience is associated with the throat chakra, sometimes known as the 'third ear'. Claircognizance : Think of this as 're-cog-nition.' It is a clear knowing about a person, event, or experience beyond what the physical world can tell you. This sense is often associated with the gut, the sacral chakra, and the solar plexus. This inner knowing helps you understand more about yourself and is a powerful tool for self-discovery and self-mastery. Clairsentience : This is the ability to feel the emotions or physical sensations of others as though they are your own. While it can be a heavy burden to carry, clairsentience is a powerful gift, especially for energy healers when you learn to control it. There are many more subtle psychic senses and intuitive gifts that we can develop, but I will save that for another blog. By focusing on these senses during meditation, you can deepen your experience and gain insights that support your personal growth. The Importance of Chakra Alignment Chakras are energy centers in the body that influence physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. They offer a holistic insight into life's experiences. There are seven main chakras in the yogic context, which can be broken down as follows: Root Chakra : Grounding, foundations, and security. Sacral Chakra : Creativity, sexuality, and emotions. Solar Plexus Chakra : Personal power, worthiness, and confidence. Heart Chakra : Love, gratitude, and compassion. Throat Chakra : Communication, knowledge, and expression. Third Eye Chakra : Intuition, vision, reflection, and insight. Crown Chakra : Spiritual connection, ascending, and self-awareness. When chakras are balanced, energy flows freely, supporting your psychic senses and overall vitality at mental, emotional, and physical levels. Meditation focused on chakra alignment helps clear blockages by restoring balance. This strengthens your energetic foundation, making it a perfect meditation to utilize before psychic work, channeling, and energy healing. Preparing for Your Meditation Practice Before you begin, create a calm and comfortable space free from distractions. Here are some of my best tips to maximize your meditation: Find a quiet spot where you can sit comfortably for 15–30 minutes. Have a pen and paper ready for anything you want to write down, or even a voice recorder to capture messages relayed through your voice. Use cushions, a meditation stool, or a chair to support your posture. If you are lying down, ensure your spine is flat—no pillows for the head is best. Dim the lights or light candles to create a soothing atmosphere. Have a speaker or headphones to maximize the comfortable volume of the recording. Set an intention for your meditation, such as enhancing your psychic senses, balancing your chakras, or connecting with your spirit team for guidance. Having a clear intention helps guide your focus. It has been scientifically proven to help energetically heal others at a distance. Intention deepens the meditation experience, acting as an anchor to ensure you receive what is needed. How This Meditation Supports Your Daily Life Sitting in your power through meditation can bring practical benefits: Build confidence in yourself and your connection with spiritual gifts. Improve decision-making by trusting your intuition. Achieve greater emotional, mental, and spiritual harmony through chakra balancing. Enhance creativity and problem-solving skills. Connect with your higher self and spirit team. Foster a stronger sense of purpose and presence. Learn to self-activate and balance your chakras. By regularly connecting with your psychic senses and chakras, you build a foundation for resilience and clarity in everyday challenges. Meditation to Sit in Your Power This meditation is a blend of principles I've learned through psychic studies, yoga, and energy healing. I suggest listening to it at the same time and place each day to build resonance. This helps your body-mind-spirit know in advance that it's safe to drop into the alpha and delta states. Ready to listen? Click the YouTube link below: Enhance Your Meditation & Psychic Practice Consistency matters : Practice this meditation regularly, ideally daily or several times a week. Meditating at the same time and place has been shown to enhance effectiveness. Creating change : Changing your diet to exclude highly processed foods, caffeine, sugar, and fried foods can help clear your channel as a healer or seer. Staying hydrated with pure water or electrolytes is also essential. Journal your experiences : After meditation, write down any insights, sensations, or messages you received. This can also be a great time to do some shadow work, as you are connected to your higher self and can see the aspects of yourself that need to be drawn into the light. Use crystals : Stones like amethyst, lapis lazuli, or clear quartz can support chakra balancing and psychic development. Choose ethically sourced crystals that align with the colors of the upper three main chakras. You can place these on or around your body. Incorporate breathwork : Deep, rhythmic breathing through the nose enhances energy flow and focus. It’s a great tool to anchor you to the ground, allowing for a stronger connection with your higher self. Stay patient : Developing psychic senses and self-alignment of the chakras takes time. It’s not a 'quick fix'; it’s a devotional practice that requires consistency. Common Challenges and How to Overcome Them Many people face obstacles when starting this type of meditation. It's about asking the 'monkey mind' to stay silent and witnessing the unfolding of the true self from a higher connection. Here are some common challenges people encounter on this path and solutions: Restlessness or distraction : Try shorter sessions at first, gradually increasing time as your focus improves. Use your breath as an anchor if needed. Doubt or skepticism : Approach the practice with an open mind and curiosity rather than expectation. Take the pressure off the outcome and be grateful for the connection to self. Physical discomfort : Adjust your posture or use props to stay comfortable. Sitting with your back against a wall can help as a beginner. Difficulty sensing energy : Focus on breath and visualization; sensations often develop gradually. Commitment : Many people shy away from what is good for them, as there is often an unconscious desire for 'suffering.' Meditation practices can go AWOL when we start seeing progress. Create a non-negotiable schedule and enhance your boundaries with others to ensure you enforce it. Are You Curious About Deepening Your Spiritual Path? - Ancient Manifestation Principals | Egyptian Heka
Egyptian Heka | the magic of sacred speech In Ancient Egypt (kemet), Heka , meant magic. The literal translation being "using the ka", perhaps relating to the personification of Heka, the Egyptian God of Medicine and Magic, or even a source of 'creative power' (similar to ' Shakti ' in Hinduism). As part of the Neteru (gods & goddess of Egypt), his name was depicted as a twist of flax and a pair of raised arms, which can be found below. Through my research, I've found this symbol utilised in Egyptian energy healing, Sekhem/Seichim, and have received many downloads about the truth of it's power, activating clients into it's healing frequency. The hieroglyphic spelling includes the word 'ka', the ancient Egyptian concept of the vital force and is therefore closely linked to out modern day understanding of Egyptian energy healing, known by many names, but that which I refer to as Sekhem , translating to 'the power of powers', which aligns with the goddess, Sekhmet . Heka, however, goes deeper than this, as it is discovered through time to be 'the power of sacred speech', aligning to the collective conscious agreement that I've found throughout the world that becoming attuned to Sekhem, activates light language within us. This, is said to be 'the language of the gods', carrying resonant frequencies of magic, energy, awakening, manifestation and a great unlocking of ancient healing techniques that are ready to be rebirthed in our modern day era. These 'light codes', seem to be awakening in more and more people around the world at a rapid pace, which I believe to be due to the need for anchoring more light into the planet at a 3D level in order to save the earth and it's people from the mass destruction that I foresee if we do not change our ways. Heka as a practise: The ancients believed that Heka, was not magic outside of themselves or left purely for the gods. They believed that with the right focus and intention, their speech could manifest their reality, a very modernistic approach for the time. As a practise, Heka was the human ability to tap into the creative life force or power, through authoritative speech, and properly focused intention. The ancients didn't see themselves as separate from this creative power, but rather, that they harnessed this scared power within them utilising these techniques, to create external reality. They manifested through the very same principals I teach. Heka was used for: Ensuring successful military campaigns, or battle. Healing physical or psychological imbalances Keeping the universal order in balance Diplomatic negotiation with other kingdoms Agricultural planning Architectural projects (e.g. the pyramids, temples) For the ancients that lived over 5000 years ago, this wasn't about ceremony or even what we would call 'spirituality', these were practical techniques utilised by those in power to keep the order and efficiency of the land of Kemet, ancient Egypt. The key underlying thread "Sound creates form in the physical world" . This wasn't a philosophy, it was a proven strategy that had been researched. They found different sounds, tones, pitches, wavelengths, frequencies, affected human consciousness and the physical world in different ways. This, is one of the many 'rumours' that is said to be behind the creation of the great pyramids of Giza. For the ancient Egyptians, it wasn't just about allowing sounds to drip off the tongue, but developing a deep understanding about vowel sounds, what was projected from them, what they amplified or opened within, and how they were strung together in perfect timing, with a combination of breath, intention, sacred geometry, and technique. Ancient Indian & Egyptian Synchronicities Sound, is also a strong feature in Hindu religion and yogic context as they repeat 'mantra' or seed sounds, as though it is a magical script for creation. In yogic context, you will find many different mantra's used for things like health, peace, abundance, harmony, and so fourth. 'Seed sounds', for another example, can be associated with each chakra e.g. 'YAM' (pronounced more like 'yum'), is the seed sound for the heart chanted repetitively to help balance, purify, and heal hearted related wounding at a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. AUM at a higher level, is said to be the cosmic sound from which the universe emerged, and often awakens awareness of collective consciousness or 'unity' when chanted together in a yoga class. AUM, the sound of creation in Indian lineages, is similar to the name 'Atum' in Egyptian context, said to be the creator. You will also find sacred geometry in India, known as 'yantra', which in simple terms is an image that is used for focused awareness to manifest an intention. From this simple linkage, you can already see how different cultures around the world that are seemingly unconnected, come together at a higher level of conscious awareness. A unity consciousness level where great changes can permeate the world by telepathically sharing ideals that stretch through time and space. This is also a key foundation of energy healing - connecting to the energy of another through time and space, and activating something within them, to come back to their own sense of internal harmony and inner balance. Some may call this 'healing', but what others might know it now as divine resonance. For an activation into this ancient lineage, proceed below: Ground. Sit in a chair or cross legged with a straight spine, and imagine roots sprouting from your root chakra, expanding through your hips, down your legs and into the earth and state out loud: "I am grounded to the earth". Imagine you are connecting with the divine feminine creator energy, holding you in your strength, authenticity, power. Take three deep breaths, with your hands over your heart, announcing out loud "I open my heart to receive divine light and unconditional love within" Place your hands upward to the sky, over your head and feel the connection with source, the creator, the divine masculine and state out loud "I am connected to source". With your hands still raised to the heavens, state out loud: "Sa Sekhem Sahu" and take a few moments to feel the silver-blue energy move into your hands. This activates your connection to divine source. Take your hands to the top of your head, placing them over your crown and state again "Sa Sekhem Sahu". This brings the activation of divine source, into your physical being, into alignment with the truth that lives within you. Take your hands back over your heart, left over right, and state out loud again: "Sa Sekhem Sahu". This brings the truth, the divine healing frequency of Sekhem Heka (the power of powers) into your heart, and ensures that you only manifest from your hearts true desires, not fear or ego. Take your palms into a prayer position now, and focus on the centre of your palms, before stating internally: "Sa Sekhem Sahu", and the knowing, "I am the light inside". Interested in a real time activation into Sekhem and light Language? Book below to find a space in your timezone, and use the codeword "HEKA" so I know exactly what we are activating within. You may feel: More open to the connection with your higher self and universe. A profound sense of inner wisdom starting to permeate through your life An activation of your third eye centre, heart, and crown A calm sense of knowing, trusting, and being aligned to the divine feminine Sensations in your hands such as warmth, tingling, pins and needles The want to speak in a new language, tones, or even yelling Emotions being released Safe, supported, and connected to your heart, learning to love unconditionally A new interest in starseed races, light language, or sacred geometry A desire to go to Egypt or study it deeply The want or understanding of how to start healing others as an energy healer Heka in modern day manifestation practise: Try speaking your intentions out loud with conscious awareness on the breath and sound of the words (pitch, tone, where each sound resonates). Notice how the words feel when you say them, and if one word needs to be replaced by another. Feel their frequency. If light language is in your practise, experiment with using a combination of sounds, tones, breath, movement and feelings led by your intention to weave a new fabric of reality into existence. I've loved bringing you into this magical journey of Heka, and if you enjoyed the read, please reach out and let me know so I can keep creating space to write, channell, and research these topics as I feel called to bring them out to the world that desperately seeking this ancient knowledge and activations. - Ascension Travel & Bali Belly
When most people head to Bali, they book into lush accommodation in the likes of Seminyak, Nusa Dua, Cangu, Kuta or the surfers paradise of Uluwatu where I oddly ended up on my first trip there, given I rarely surf. They want to relax, unwind, and disassociate from life, so their nervous systems can rewire, and infuse themselves with the goodness of the simple life - sun, sex, and surf culture. This might be layered in different external doses of what is deemed as 'good', but most people won't consider taking a taxi two hours inland to the cultural and spiritual centre of the 'land of the gods' to the lesser known hot spot of Ubud. Last week, this is exactly where I landed for my 5th trip to Bali, and I made the most of Every. Single. Day. As I've travelled a lot of the world now, my focus has shifted to become more purposeful. I don't just want to see a place, eat the food, go to a cultural show; I want to feel what it's like to be part of the pasture - and in Ubud, that meant submersing myself in all of the local and expat versions of spiritual devotion, purification, and a natural cleansing process called 'Bali Belly' to finish it all off. Here's how it went. Day 1 | Tuesday First up is a 12pm LSV (light, sound, vibration) journey at POC (Pyramids of Chi), which is about a 30 minute walk from the main city centre of Ubud. Book in advance, especailly in peak seasons. If you're savvy, you can catch a Gojek moto there for a few dollars, or walk to the meeting place near Ubud Palace for the free POC shuttle. On arrival, you'll check in, get a free welcome drink, and wait for the gong to be lead into the temple, where the host will explain how it works and what to expect. In short, it is a hosted in a pyramid for the perfect arraignment of sound, vibration, and energetics to cocoon you in a one hour session of healing, whilst laying on your own private island (water bed), that makes you feel like you could be in space. Each bed has an arrangement of speakers beneath it that birth vibration through the water bed, into your body, and with your eyes closed and ears open to the sacredly crafted symphony of sound, you'll be lead upon a transformational journey of your inner world experiencing something very close to lucid dreaming (or journeying with hallucinogenics). You might see colours and shapes beyond the realms of the physical. You might have a past life retrieval or inner child regression. You might just fall asleep, and if you snore, the guide will gently tap your foot until you wake to join the journey in a more considered state. You can get more of an idea in the video below: My best advice is to go in open minded, expect nothing, and set an intention to allow the right experience for you with the intention of understanding a part of yourself/life better. Intention is essential in all journeying experiences, even when you and I are working together in energy healing sessions. You get what you ask for, so make sure you're mind is on what you really want. After the session, you can hang out in the beautiful vegan cafe, and nosh down on foods like chia puddings, big hearty salads, curries, tempeh, tofu, smoothies, smoothie bowls, vegan taco's, wraps... all the things. You'll also be able to get locally made kombucha, coconut water (because it's a tropical island and coconut's are everywhere), and then head to the little shop to buy a sacred, but pricey memento of your experience. One brand you'll find there is Warriors Of The Divine , which sells locally made, hand painted silk kimono's that I've been eye-balling for years, but never seem to actually suit me. This stop will guarantee you to feel relaxed, rested, and reset, so you can quickly get out of your work-hustle-mindset, and into the nurturing arms of Bali's heart centre. Ubud. We finished the day with dinner at my favourite magical restaurant, Merlin's , where you can pick your whole meal through oracle cards, and I promise, the food and drinks match the stunning décor. Expect to feel joyously surprised. Day 2 | Wednesday Morning: Off to Kundalini at the Yoga Barn (tip: download the app before you go to plan out classes and workshops into your itinerary), hosted in my favourite studio, Banyan tree. I later found out that the loudest classes are hosted here, because it's the furthest away from everything else. Kundalini yoga is my stabilising strength right now. I love it. I read once that as a woman, your kundalini energy (shakti) really begins to beckon you around the age of 40, so if this is you, dive in. You'll be uncomfortably surprised at how a combination of asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), mantra (chanting repetition of sacred Sanskrit words, NOT an affirmation), and meditation. 90 minutes later, you'll be so glad you said yes to letting down your guard, trying your best to pronounce the ancient language of the gods (Deva Bhasha). Expect to feel warm, raw, emotive and expressive - though every teacher is different, from a different lineage, with a different intention for the class. Most classes will focus on working with one chakra, but don't get in your head about it; yoga is there to help you get back into your body, connect with your higher consciousness, and figure out what unity consciousness is really all about. I've been practising yoga for over 18 years now, so I'm starting to get the hang of it now. Afternoon : I'd booked my hubby in with me for this enlightening, pleasurably painful experience of myofascial release with one of my favourite new teachers, Chris Fox, and we got waaay more than either of us bargained for. After 6.5 hours on a plane, 2 hours in a taxi, and all the sitting, waiting in between, your body becomes TIGHT (especially your psoas), and so, this is your perfect release. Chris is a genie when it comes to psychosomatic connection, and led us through all the pain points of release within the body, like 'rivers', he would say, that are all interconnected. Needless to say, there were tears of pain as that tension left my body, and the emotions kept on flowing well after we left the mat. Because Chris is such a rad teacher, he also shared his spotify playlist with me, so I could keep reliving the experience with my own tennis ball therapy at home. Thanks Chris, I have so much admiration and love for your work. Sorry we missed your workshop due to #balibelly . Day 3 | Thursday After a very emotionally charged conversation with hubby (all those emotions got released yesterday remember?), we had a deep day of connection together, appreciating each other more than ever. We had conversations I didn't think we ever would, that resulted in outcomes I never thought possible. Life can actually just keep getting better, you've just got to be vulnerably brave enough to ask for what you want, and remember why it's important to you. That is a manifesting lesson for all aspects of life, not just relationships. That was a slow morning that didn't quite get me to the gym, but, it did get me up to Alchemy Yoga for 'Release & Renew' by Phil Hurrle , teaching us how to use lymphatic drainage techniques to get our bodies back to health, holding less water, less inflammation, less toxins, and oh, less pain. The techniques had a number of touch points located from head to toe, triggered in a specific order of tapping, rubbing, figure 8-ing and pulling to create a release. Think of it like Gua-Sha for your whole body, and imagine if you actually incorporated it DAILY. You'd be so... light and mobile. And that's a lot of what this trip was about; letting go of all the tension of acting like human-doings, so we could both get back to more respectively functional human-beings. This wasn't the highlight though. Not yet. The highlight hands down, was the way he guided TRE (tension/trauma release exercise) and getting my husband to finally experience it for himself. I'd told him about it a long while ago, and tried everything to get him to let me guide him through it, but as always, sometimes partners just need to hear it from someone else to believe in the magic. TRE is a technique that was designed by a psychologist that spent a large amount of time within traumatised communities in Africa and the middle east. I know that somatic therapies such as shaking are derived from ancient ceremonial cultures around the globe, so it wouldn't surprise me if his intuition saw the link between how they lived, what they experienced, and how they navigated through life. It's also a known fact, that animals, when faced with trauma (or getting wet from the rain like my domestic cat), will shake. They let the energy of the emotion they are feeling ripple through them, experiencing it along the way so they can LET IT GO. Humans don't do that. We hold shit in, we push it down, we get told it's not safe/sane to feel. But times are rapidly changing, and tools like TRE are freely available to everyone, so you can really allow your body to digest those stagnant, heavy emotions that cling to your Psoas, the muscle of the soul. So appropriately names because it is believed to store emotional and physical tension, including trauma, and is closely linked to our nervous system and breathing. Basically, it will help you create a tremour that leads through your body, generally starting with your legs, and if you are brave enough with yourself to gently feel, the ripple will continue through your hips, lower back, spine, and even into your jaw - where a LOT of tension is held (for me at least - who else is a teeth grinder? you need this). Afterwards, you'll feel the best kind of tired. It's peaceful. Its pointed. It was time to journal and reflect, and nourish myself with raw treats from Alchemy Yoga's little sister, Alchemy cafe. Alchemy yoga overview: Day 4 | Friday Another slow start and lots of walking, that ended with hubby watching his AFL, and me headed to a very last minute change in my schedule that I know was predestined. If you felt how I felt through that magnetic class, you couldn't argue with me. If you are a woman, and you have a womb, you need to go to this class on your next Bali trip!! Womb Wisdom by Chokolako (yes that is her REAL name). She has 67k followers on Instagram for a reason, and she is one empowered woman I strive to be like! Perfectly poised after a 'bathroom incident' as she stated, she felt as though she made room for something prior to class, and I believe that something, was me. 7 minutes before her class started, I made the last minute intuitive call to go to her class, having already mentally booked into someone else's. But I'd gotten the timing wrong. By an hour. I didn't really know what was going to happen, I just read briefly that it was great for women with a womb (tick), and especially those who had experienced sexual trauma (tick). I knew this would be uncomfortable. I knew I would be seen and heard, but I didn't know how supported I would feel during that class, and I tell you, it's what the world of women needs right now. To be seen in your shame. Your grief. Your withholding. Your stress. Your trauma. Your tummy. To be seen and witnessed in every shape, at every age, of every colour and every race, and yet, we all came together as one. When you don't have a blood family to fall back upon, you find family everywhere you can; and this was one sacred circle that made me remember all of our ancient wisdom, value and beauty in a safely crafted space led by a woman not of her ego. She was so pure, so confident, so capable, that I don't want to write what she shared in words, because I respect so much what she does, that I can only carry it in my heart and say 'thank-you' for being the voice that we all need to be heard, and the eyes we all need to be seen. Thank-you. And to all the women that were there in that circle, from all places of the world, thank-you too. I was so overcome with love and courage that day, and appreciate you celebrating me dancing away my grief and repression with applause. Big love. I felt all kinds of uncomfortable emotions afterwards, and journaled about it as much as I could, but what I really needed right then, was the feel the nurturing love and attentiveness that only a woman can give, and I never felt I received from my own mother. So I booked myself in for a facial and massage at Tonic Massage & Botanicals Ubud . I was not disappointed. I walked in feeling all kinds of imbalanced, and left like I was walking on air - so much so, that passers by in the street enquired about said massage spot, and quickly booked themselves in too. Day 5 | Saturday This morning was a day I'd booked well in advance, looking for the right tour guide, at the right temple, Pura Taman Pecampuhan Sala with a company called ' Quantum Temple '. This day was about purification, learning the way of the locals and trying my best to understand the process, before the guide said to me simply "ask the gods for their blessings and guidance to understand how to do the ceremony process without mistake". So I did. I sat in quiet meditation, got into my channel, connected with my guides and the spirit of the land, and asked to be shown. To be guided. To be protected. Each part of the ceremony felt authentic. It wasn't a 'tourist activity', it was a local submersion to which I held in deep gratitude and respect, allowing us to come in and do our best to understand, and be held gently by mother earth, and purified. The location was sublime, but it was the actual experience that our guide did with us, that will remain with me forever. He said that people in Bali usually are doing this at least once per month, it helps to 'erase negativity, and make space for the balance of positivity to come back'. I loved that. As we passed each Hindu statue, we prayed. As we passed through each waterfall, we shouted, screamed, bathed, released. As the two rivers met, we asked to be shown the way. As we ended our session, we asked for blessings; to be shown the way forward; for family harmony; for releasing obstacles that stand in our way; for removing the aspects of our egos that hold us back; and lastly, for abundance - in every sense of the word. When we arrived, we were the only two westerners on site. We were treated like locals, blessed by the priest. When we departed, we felt like locals, and gave blessings of gratitude to the priest in return for the wisdom and experience he allowed us to have. it felt sacred, and special, and was grateful for the video's and photos taken to serve as my own memory. Day 6 | Sunday Morning : Another slow start, beginning with my favourite walk up to the Campuhan Ridge at daybreak. The best time of day. When it's quiet, still, and the rising sun imparts its beauty by lighting up the land in its prime. The reward at the end, is the array of cafe's that offer refreshments for any time of day, and for us, this meant breakfast - with a view over the valley in the quietude of nature. It's not a hard walk, nor super easy, but the hotter it gets, the harder you will find it, go early, and you'll find the peace amidst the honking horns and traffic of main city Ubud as good as a deserving dessert. Keep an eye out for squirrels, they'll bring a smile to your face. Keep an extra eye out for snakes. I hear they might bite. The day then, got away on us. We walked back to the hotel, read, nourished, and got a 90 minute couples massage at the blissful spot Tonic Massage & Botanicals Ubud . It's Instagram worthy yes, but it's also amazingly clean, affordable, and the service is excellent. Both times I went, I felt more aligned and in my body (which is a really big part of any healing journey from that involves physical trauma) and mind. I also always get HUGE downloads of information channelling through me when I'm being massaged, because I know its safe for me to just 'receive'. Try it. Tell me your thoughts. Day 7 | Monday Afternoon : The afternoon led us back to Yoga Barn for another class, this time a sound healing workshop lead with singing bowls, and armed with an acoustic guitar. It was nice, but not amazing, given all the previous wonderment we had. Perhaps a sign that a lot of release had been done, and that integrative downtime was needed. Today was also about packing, reflecting, and the internal fight of not wanting to go 'home'; because that meant having to take on all of my grown up activities again. Like washing. Day 8 | Tuesday Morning: This morning I made it for a BIG walk before rushing home to the hotel for breakfast (chia pudding with coconut milk, fruits, and almond coffee), and then heading straight for the Kundalini masterclass with Gregory Kaps He doesn't seem to have social media, or a website (re-spect!!), so this little Yoga Barn pic will have to fill you in on his essence. I actually started this morning feeling a little off, and by the time I was sitting journaling, waiting for the 9:30am class to start, by stomach was cramping, nausea was sinking in, sweats had started, and I thought it was all just my period... it turns out Bali had one last little gift to share, that had just started taking hold as I purged my way through a 3 hour kundalini intensive, raising my vibration, setting intentions, and getting ready to do a final release of what I no longer needed in my life. A lot of pent up sh$% that I hadn't tended too earlier. This is what the body does. It reminds us that when we hold onto sh$%, we aren't digesting our past, we're not feeling it, we're not healing it. So we hold it, until it becomes 'weight' (I've done a lot of research and experiential work on energetic weight loss, trust me!). So now I had weight to lose, and I was finally ready to admit it. To see it. To let it go. All of that shame. All of that guilt. All of that grief. Now was a time to let go of all the things that a nine year in numerology tells us to reflect upon, and this was the moment of reckoning. So I followed the teachers prompts. I breathed. I chanted. I held. I let go. I got to heightened levels of trance meditation that day because I was able to find that stillness in the exhaustion that a period brings, and I was able to purge everything out of me in the days that followed so by the time I got back home to the Sunshine Coast, I finally was able to sit in love, and see all the opportunities and excitement available to me; instead of being in fear of all that I was indeed, needing to release. End. 📖🔖 Final words | Ubud is a beautiful destination to travel with purpose, and set intentions for why you are there, what you are willing to try, where you are willing to go. It's about allowing yourself to be vulnerable to new experiences, ideas, culture and foods, and of course, getting travellers diarrhoea so you can cleanse your system of negativity, and make way for positive change. It's not just a matter of being mindful of what or where you're eating, it's a matter of allowing yourself to see what you're actually ready to let go of at the mind, body and soul level of change, and being kind enough to yourself to release it with love in your heart, and lightness in your steps.
