Unlock Your Inner Psychic Self: A Meditation To Sit In Your Power

Mediation offers a powerful pause in your daily life, to get detached from the 'monkey' controlling your mind, and drop into the true wisdom of your higher self and life force energy. It's not just for those on the psychic path, but those who want to know themselves better,. Regular practise of this meditation will truly teach you how to tap into your highest truth, which is needed more than ever in a world that offers so may layers of dishonesty, AI, grief, narcissism, anger, and pain. Because the more you know yourself, the more you know what thoughts, feelings, emotions, and pain belongs to you - and what belongs to others, that can easily, be released.
In this 13 minute meditation, I will guide you to ground into the earth, tap into the deeper parts of your psyche, unlock the psychic gifts of your chakras, and connect with your spirit guides so you can create space to channel the information you truly want to receive. This isn't artificial intelligence (AI), this is your unique, innate, intelligent inner wisdom - something you really need to strengthen as it becomes harder to answer the age old question of the spiritual seeker - "what is real?"

Understanding The Psychic Senses and Their Role in Meditation
Psychic senses refer to subtle, intuitive abilities that carry us far beyond the physical world and the five senses, and tap into the subtle realms of the unmanifest (layers of the past and/or future potential). Developing the psychic senses through meditation can enhance your awareness of subtle energies, potentiality, and improve your connection to your inner guidance and with your spirit team.
The main psychic senses in short are:
Clairvoyance - inner vision, helping you see the past, present (often in new light), patterns, visualisations, spiritual symbols, colours, lights, and future potential outcomes, kind of like opening a door of possibility. Some people find it easy to see this through tarot or oracle cards, automatic writing, scrying, drawing, scribbling etc. while others find it easy to just see form in their minds eye with eyes open or closed. Clairvoyance is associated with the third eye chakra, between the eyes, and associated with the pineal and pituitary gland.
Clairaudience - inner sound, sometimes shows up as music, ringing in the ears, words, sentences, messages of wisdom that can be in your own voice, or that of a loved one who has passed, a spirit guide or another voice. Clairaudience is associated with the throat chakra, which is sometimes known as the 'third ear'.
Claircognizance - think of this as 're-cog-nition' a clear knowing about a person, event, circumstance, place or even an experience beyond what the physical world is able to tell you. This can be associated with many different chakras, but to me, I associated it most heavily with the gut; the sacral chakra and solar plexus. The inner knowing, helps you know more about yourself, and is a powerful tool for self discovery and self mastery.
Clairsentience - all the 'feeling' people will know that this is your greatest gift, an ally of insight, but also, sometimes a heavy burden to carry. Clairsentience in short is being able to feel the emotions or even physical sensations of others, as though they are your own, which is a powerful gift as an energy healer - when you know how to control it.
There are a number of more subtle psychic senses and intuitive gifts that we can have and develop too, but I will leave that for another blog.
By focusing on the above mentioned senses during meditation, you can deepen your experience and gain insights that support your personal growth.

The Importance of Chakra Alignment
Chakras are energy centres in the body that influence physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, offering a holistic insight to life's experiences. There are seven main chakras in yogic context, that at a very basic level breakdown to:
Root Chakra – grounding, foundations, and security.
Sacral Chakra – creativity, sexuality, and emotions.
Solar Plexus Chakra – personal power, worthiness, and confidence.
Heart Chakra – love, gratitude, and compassion.
Throat Chakra – communication, knowledge, and expression.
Third Eye Chakra – intuition, vision, reflection, and insight.
Crown Chakra – spiritual connection, ascending, and self awareness.
When chakras are 'balanced', energy flows freely, supporting your psychic senses, and overall vitality at a mental, emotional, and physical level.
Meditation focused on chakra alignment helps clear blockages by bringing them back into balance, and strengthens your energetic foundation - making this a perfect meditation to utilise before psychic work, channelling, and energy healing.

Preparing for Your Meditation Practice
Before you begin, create a calm and comfortable space free from distractions. Here are some of my best tips to maximise your meditation:
Find a quiet spot where you can sit comfortably for 15–30 minutes.
Have a pen and paper ready for anything you want to write down, or even a voice recorder so you can listen to anything relayed through your voice.
Use cushions, a meditation stool, or a chair to support your posture.
If you are laying down, make sure your spine is flat - no pillows for the head is best.
Dim the lights or light candles to create a soothing atmosphere.
Have a speaker or headphones to maximise the comfortable volume of rhe recording.
Set an intention for your meditation, such as enhancing your psychic senses, balancing your chakras, or connecting with your spirit team for guidance.
Having a clear intention helps guide your focus, and has been scientifically proven to help energetically heal others at distance. Intention really deepens the meditation experience, acting as an anchor to ensure you receive what is needed.

Enhance Your Mediation & Psychic Practice:
Consistency matters: Practice this meditation regularly, ideally daily or several times a week. If possible, meditating at the same time and place is scientifically shown to really enhance effectiveness.
Creating change: Changing your diet to exclude highly processed food, caffeine, sugar, fried foods etc. can really help clear your channel as a healer or seer, and stop clogging your mind with misinformation that isn't helping your path. It's also important to drink lots of pure water and/or hydrolytes to keep your body hydrated.
Journal your experiences: After meditation, write down any insights, sensations, or messages you received. It can also be a great time to do some shadow work, as you are connected to your higher self, and can see the aspects of self that need to be drawn into the light.
Use crystals: Stones like amethyst, lapis lazuli, or clear quartz can support chakra balancing and psychic development. Try to choose ethically sourced crystals, aligning with the colours of the upper three main chakras. You can place these on or around the body.
Incorporate breathwork: Deep, rhythmic breathing through the nose enhances energy flow and focus. Its a great tool to anchor you into the ground, allowing for a stronger connection with your higher self.
Stay patient: Developing psychic senses and self alignment of the chakras takes time, its not a 'quick fix', its a devotional practise that requires consistency.
Common Challenges and How to Overcome Them:
Many people face obstacles when starting this type of meditation. Its really about asking the 'monkey mind' to stay silent, and witnessing the unfolding of the true self, from a higher connection.
Here are some common challenges that people encounter on this path and solutions:
Restlessness or distraction: Try shorter sessions at first, gradually increasing time as focus improves. Use the breath as an anchor if you need to.
Doubt or skepticism: Approach the practice with an open mind and curiosity rather than expectation. Take the pressure off the outcome, and be grateful for the connection to self.
Physical discomfort: Adjust your posture or use props to stay comfortable. Sitting with your back against a wall can help as a beginner.
Difficulty sensing energy: Focus on breath and visualization; sensations often develop gradually.
Commitment: people naturally shy away what is good for them, as many of us have an unconscious want of 'suffering', and so meditation practises can often go AWOL when we start seeing progress. Create a non-negotiable schedule, and enhance your boundaries with others to ensure you enforce it.
